The BeerLady Live Blogs the Presidential Debate

I know, you're probably thinking, "Why is the BeerLady going all political on me?"

Well, actually, I'm quite political. But more importantly, the only way to play Presidential Debate drinking games is to watch the debates.

Now, I'm not advocating drinking to excess. It's a waste of good beer to do so. But I have to admit, this debate may make it a little bit difficult. I'm using a fairly simple list of criteria:

Every time Obama references JFK, RFK, or MLK, take a drink.

Every time McCain says "my friends," take a drink.

Every time Obama says "hope" or "change," take a drink.

Every time McCain mentions earmarks, take a drink.

Every time Obama mentions his grandmother, take a drink.

Every time McCain makes a reference to having been a POW, take a drink.

This is going to be a very long debate, I think....

For the record, tonight I'm trying out Lakefront Brewery's New Grist beer. The label says it's made from sorghum and rice extract. It made me very curious....
